1970 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 FHC
Here we have a legendary classic, profoundly popular throughout Britain in the 1960s and 1970s, the Jaguar E type! This example was manafactured in 1970 for the American market and shipped over to the US where it spent 20 years of its life. In March 1990, it was imported back into the UK and converted from left hand drive to right hand drive. This specification of the E type is the Series 2 featuring the 2+2 seating configuration and a 4.2L Straight 6 naturally aspirated engine.
This is solely advertised as a project car as it requires restoration before becoming roadworthy once more. It has suffered from rust underneath and in parts bubbling underneath the surface body paintwork. Pieces of trim are absent such as the distinctive grill, and chrome accents along the rear windows. The boot release is not functional and the spare wheel is cut. The fuel pump is functional but will need replacing due to a loose connection located in the rear quarter. The cream leather interior and dashboard requires an overhaul with the dash displaying very few lights, although headlights and taillights remain functional. The throttle pedal has limited movement, but enough to drive. Although it does start and drive, it is highly recommended that this car be trailered away. It is now kept in dry storage for winter.
